- Play a pivotal role in designing, optimizing, and maintaining 5G wireless networks to ensure high-speed connectivity, low latency, and reliability Plan, design, and optimize Radio Access Networks (RAN) for 5G systems using technologies such as Massive MIMO, beamforming, and small cells Conduct RF site surveys and select optimal site locations for base stations Perform link budget analysis and coverage planning using tools like Atoll, Planet, or Asset Define RF parameters including frequency, power, and antenna tilt for optimal performance Monitor KPIs such as throughput, latency, and call drop rates to ensure network quality Optimize network parameters to resolve coverage holes, interference, and capacity constraints Analyze drive test data and implement physical changes (e.g., antenna adjustments) to improve signal quality Troubleshoot RF-related issues including interference, handover failures, and low data throughput Coordinate with field technicians for hardware troubleshooting and antenna system maintenance Perform post-processing of test data using tools like TEMS, Nemo, or XCAL Collaborate with deployment teams to ensure sites meet RF design specifications Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., FCC) for RF emissions and safety Prepare technical reports and documentation for network performance and optimization activities Strong understanding of 5G NR architecture, LTE, and legacy technologies (3G/4G) Proficiency in RF planning and optimization tools such as Atoll, iBwave, and MapInfo Experience with data collection and post-processing tools like TEMS Investigation, Actix, and Windcatcher Knowledge of RF propagation models, antenna theory, and link budget analysis Familiarity with Massive MIMO, Beamforming, and mmWave technologies Basic programming skills in Python or MATLAB for data analysis and automation (preferred) Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field
