Role: 3PL Solution Architect

JOB DESCRIPTION:

3PL Solution Architect will design scalable and replicable integration architectures that streamline our supply chain operations. This role demands a unique blend of technical integration expertise, deep knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS), and comprehensive understanding of logistics and warehouse management systems.

The ideal candidate will translate complex business requirements into robust, industry-best-practice integration solutions and serve as a key communicator between IT staff and business users.

Key Responsibilities

• Integration Architecture Design: Design end-to-end, scalable, and reusable integration architectures connecting internal systems (primarily Oracle EBS) with Third-Party Logistics (3PL) providers and external trading partners, adhering to industry best practices.
• Oracle EBS Expertise: Utilize extensive knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 architecture (specifically SCM, Order Management, Inventory modules) to ensure seamless, efficient, and standardized integration points.
• EDI Integration Leadership: Lead the design and governance of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integrations (e.g., ANSI X12 standards like 850, 856, 940, 945) using enterprise integration platforms and B2B gateways.
• Solution Blueprinting: Create detailed architectural blueprints, data flow diagrams, interface specifications, and technical documentation that guide development and implementation teams.
• Domain Knowledge Application: Apply deep functional knowledge of Supply Chain Management (SCM), Inventory Management (IM), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to ensure solutions optimize business processes end-to-end.
• Stakeholder Communication & Presentation: Effectively articulate complex technical ideas and solutions to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, business users, and IT technical staff.
• Governance & Standards: Define and enforce integration standards, governance models, and best practices across the enterprise architecture landscape.
• Vendor Collaboration: Evaluate and onboard new 3PL vendors, ensuring their technical capabilities align with our integration standards and architectural vision.
  
  

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience: 12 years in IT solution design/architecture roles, with significant experience focused specifically on logistics, supply chain integrations, and 3PL partnerships.
• Technical Architecture: Proven experience designing highly scalable, resilient enterprise integration architectures.
• Oracle EBS Knowledge: Deep functional and technical understanding of Oracle E-Business Suite R12 architecture, modules, and integration touchpoints (APIs, interfaces).
• Integration Platforms:
• Mandatory expertise in implementing and leveraging the Oracle Integrated SOA Gateway (ISG) for exposing and consuming services within the Oracle EBS ecosystem.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise integration platforms (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), Mulesoft, Boomi) and B2B gateways/EDI translation tools.
• Logistics Expertise: Strong domain knowledge of SCM processes, WMS functionality, inventory lifecycle, and standard EDI transaction sets used in logistics.
• Experience with Cloud platforms and modern REST API architecture design.
• Desired experience integrating Oracle EBS with Manhattan Associates WMS or other Tier 1 WMS solutions (e.g., Blue Yonder/JDA, SAP EWM).
  
  

Communication Skills: Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills, with the ability to bridge the gap between technical teams and non-technical business stakeholders effectively
