Job Summary:
goTenna is advancing universal access to connectivity by building the world's most intelligent and scalable mobile mesh networks. The Full Stack Engineer will be responsible for web application development, covering both client-side and server-side aspects, and will play a critical role in ensuring a seamless web service experience.
Responsibilities:
• Spearhead the creation, deployment, and optimization of web applications and APIs, focusing on security, efficiency, and scalability.
• Foster innovation and collaboration with the Product and Design teams to explore new web development avenues.
• Participate and support the implementation and enhancement of deployment pipelines.
• Participate actively in code reviews and brainstorming sessions to elevate technical strategies.
• Remain abreast of the latest in web technology and frameworks.
• Assist in project scope definition and development effort estimation with the product management team.
Qualifications:
Required:
• A minimum of 5 years in software engineering.
• Expertise in front-end technologies like React or Vue.
• Proficient in back-end development using Node, PHP, Ruby, and related frameworks.
• Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL database technologies.
• Demonstrated experience in web application architecture and cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with Containerization (docker, ECS, etc.).
• Skilled in test-driven development, responsive design, and continuous integration/deployment processes.
• Excellent organizational and inter-team communication abilities.
• Able to lift 30 lbs.
Preferred:
• Experience in UI/UX design.
• Proven leadership and mentorship skills.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience with Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence) or equivalent tools.
• A deep understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript), data storage & replication, REST APIs, any of these languages: PHP, Python, Ruby, Node.js.
• Knowledge of Linux server environments including web servers (nginx, apache).
• Understanding of databases (mysql, postgres, mongodb).
