Job Summary:
Troon is seeking a Security Operations Analyst to join their growing information technology team in Scottsdale, AZ. In this role, you will assist in maintaining the security of the technology environment by supporting risk reduction, compliance activities, and security operations while learning and growing in the field of cybersecurity.
Responsibilities:
• Support PCI DSS and other compliance activities by gathering evidence, completing documentation, and assisting with audit requests.
• Monitor and operate security controls under the guidance of senior team members.
• Track and document security findings, risks, and remediation activities.
• Assist with security-related audits, certifications, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Contribute to incident response by documenting findings and following established procedures for common threats.
• Perform other security, risk, compliance, or technology support tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, cybersecurity, or related field or equivalent practical experience (internships, coursework, or relevant roles).
• One to three years of IT or security related experience (help desk, system administration, compliance support, or similar roles.)
Preferred:
• Security-related certifications such as CompTIA Security , Microsoft Security Fundamentals, or PCI Professional (PCIP) are a plus but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Microsoft cloud offerings, desktop, and server operating systems.
• Familiarity with security best practices from NIST, CIS plus PCI regulations.
• Familiarity with practical application of security.
• Exposure to scripting or automation tools, such as PowerShell or Python.
• Analytical and holistic thinking to solve unique problems.
• Clear communication skills and an ethical approach to decision making.
• Strong willingness to learn and collaborate.
