Job Summary:
Caerus Corporation is a developer, manufacturer, and marketer of innovative medical devices for both human and veterinary medical spaces. They are seeking a Product Development Associate who will play a pivotal role in quoting and onboarding new customers, collaborating with manufacturing professionals to build high-quality products.
Responsibilities:
• Develop professional quote packs, bill of materials, work instructions, and standard manufacturing processes for new products.
• Maintain professional and timely communication with customers throughout development, quoting, and manufacturing process.
• Perform initial cost feasibility analysis using customer price targets for new contract opportunities.
• Build samples, gather cycle time data, and analyze the construction of products for manufacturability.
• Effectively transfer required information to production and overhead staff during NPI process.
• Assist in training new products with production and overhead staff.
• Manage multiple quoting and development projects simultaneously, driving progress to meet deadlines.
• Draft and edit digital pattern cut files in applicable CAD programs.
• Assist in onboarding new technologies leading to new contract manufacturing opportunities.
• Maintain accurate, current, thorough progress reports on all projects in-process and present strategic data/information regularly to Director of Business Development and Product Development team at core team meetings.
• Create standard workflow documents for new product introduction to manufacturing.
• Complete related tasks and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2 years of soft goods production design and/or manufacturing engineering experience, or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
• Basic textile, manufacturing, and sewing knowledge required.
• Proficient in MS Office applications including Excel.
• Excellent communications and organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
