Job Summary:
Booz Allen Hamilton International (U.K.) Ltd is seeking a Cloud System Administrator and Engineer to improve technology supporting mission-critical infrastructure. The role involves maintaining and upgrading systems, ensuring functionality, and identifying improvement opportunities in cloud platforms while collaborating with the team.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the current infrastructure is functional and available
• Constantly look for ways to make the infrastructure better using the latest technology and the best implementation strategies
• Update and patch critical systems
• Help clients overcome tough challenges through monitoring and performance management
• Identify problem areas and opportunities for improvement in a mission-critical network
• Turn metrics into information and articulate their meaning
• Gain experience in systems administration for cloud platforms
• Share techniques, work through challenges, and develop new methodologies with the team
• Resolve daily challenges as we improve and maintain mission critical systems.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 2 years of experience configuring and deploying cloud architectures with AWS resources
• Experience maintaining system security, including applying patches and configuring equipment
• Experience in requirements discovery and refinement with clients
• Ability to reconcile client needs with delivery timelines
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience with systems engineering, integration, or Tier 3 system administration on Linux systems, or 5 years of experience with systems engineering, integration, or Tier 3 system administration on Linux systems in lieu of a degree
Preferred:
• Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 system administration on Linux systems
