This role is perfect for someone who enjoys autonomy, direct client interaction, and steady litigation work across a well-established caseload. You’ll collaborate with a supportive team while still maintaining significant ownership of your files from start to finish.

Job Details
Responsibilities
— Handle a full workers’ compensation defense caseload, including discovery, depositions, hearings, and case strategy
— Provide counsel to employers, carriers, and third-party administrators on claim exposure, risk, and resolution paths
— Draft opinions, motions, and settlement documents with clarity, accuracy, and strategic intent
— Appear before WCAB judges throughout California (remote appearances when available)
— Maintain consistent communication with clients while delivering timely, practical updates
— Work independently while contributing to a collaborative, litigation-focused practice group
Qualifications
— CA Barred attorney
— At least 3 years of workers’ compensation defense experience
— Strong understanding of California WCAB procedures
— Comfortable managing files with minimal supervision and making strategic decisions
— Excellent written advocacy skills and confident oral communication
— Ability to build strong client relationships grounded in responsiveness and reliability
