Position Details
The Project Manager leads multiple utility construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role manages scope, schedule, budget, contracts, and documentation while coordinating with clients, field teams, and internal stakeholders.
Responsibilities include permitting, procurement, RFIs, submittals, change orders, reporting, site visits, and project closeout. Travel required.
Location: Richmond area (onsite only)

Essential Responsibilities
- Manage transmission, distribution, and/or substation projects
- Oversee full project lifecycle (planning through closeout)
- Maintain client and stakeholder communication
- Ensure safety and regulatory compliance
- Manage schedules, budgets, and forecasts
- Track performance, risks, and corrective actions
- Prepare reports and project updates
- Administer contracts and subcontractors
- Resolve project issues
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 4 years in utility/construction project management
- T&D/substation experience required
- Experience managing $500K–$25M projects
- PMP certification
- Project lifecycle, budgeting, and forecasting
- MS Office / MS Project (SAP a plus)
- Strong leadership, communication, and organization
