We are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our team. This individual will oversee tax engagements, review complex returns, provide tax planning and advisory services, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients across a variety of industries.
The ideal candidate is a CPA with strong technical tax expertise, excellent client relationship skills, and experience leading staff and managing multiple deadlines in a public accounting environment.
Responsibilities
Review and manage federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses
Provide proactive tax planning and advisory services
Research complex tax issues and develop practical solutions
Manage client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact
Supervise, mentor, and develop tax staff and senior accountants
Monitor engagement budgets, timelines, and deliverables
Assist clients with IRS and state tax notices and examinations
Identify opportunities to improve client tax strategies and financial outcomes
Support business development initiatives and client retention efforts
Qualifications
Active CPA license required
5 years of public accounting tax experience
Strong experience with Forms 1040, 1065, 1120, and 1120S
Experience reviewing returns and managing client engagements
Knowledge of tax planning, research, and compliance
Excellent communication and client service skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
Preferred Experience
Multi-state tax compliance
High-net-worth individual taxation
Closely held businesses
Trust and estate taxation
Advisory and consulting services
Staff leadership and mentoring
