We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Concrete Superintendent to join our thriving Construction team. This is an exceptional opportunity to leverage your expertise in construction management, project management, scheduling, safety management, and subcontractor management. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our ongoing projects, from planning to completion. This position demands an individual who is a self-starter, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in the Construction industry, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Supervise all construction activities, ensuring that all projects are executed in accordance with the established schedule, budget, and quality standards.
2. Manage subcontractors effectively, ensuring that all work is performed in compliance with contract specifications and safety regulations.
3. Develop and implement project schedules, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments to ensure the timely and efficient completion of projects.
4. Implement and enforce safety protocols on the construction site, ensuring the wellbeing of all workers and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Oversee the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring that all purchases are made in a cost-effective manner and in accordance with project requirements.
6. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and clients, to ensure that all project objectives are met.
7. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve any potential issues or obstacles.
8. Prepare and present regular project reports to senior management, providing updates on project status, budget, and schedule.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Heavy Civil Construction industry, with a focus on concrete.
3. Proven experience in subcontractor management, with a strong understanding of contract negotiation and enforcement.
4. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team of professionals.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve project-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
6. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey information to team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
7. Proficiency in construction management software, including scheduling and project management tools.
8. Knowledge of construction safety regulations and best practices.
