We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Superintendent to join our team. This role is integral to our company's success, as it involves overseeing all aspects of our construction projects from beginning to end. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Industrial Construction, Heavy Commercial Construction, Commercial Construction, and ground-up construction. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead diverse construction projects and work with a dedicated team of professionals.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Superintendent, you will be responsible for:
1. Overseeing all stages of project life cycles, including planning, execution, and closure.
2. Managing and supervising construction activities on-site, ensuring all work is conducted in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
3. Coordinating and directing construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
4. Ensuring quality control for all construction output, anticipating and mitigating issues related to construction planning, scheduling, and execution.
5. Collaborating with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
6. Ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures, maintaining a safe and clean job site.
7. Conducting regular site inspections and preparing daily progress reports.
8. Resolving any problems that may arise during construction, including conflicts with workers or deviations from project specifications.
9. Managing the procurement of tools and materials necessary for the project.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, specifically with Industrial Construction, Heavy Commercial Construction, Commercial Construction, and ground-up construction.
2. Proven track record of managing construction projects from inception to completion.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, equipment, and OSHA guidelines.
4. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to lead a team and liaise with various stakeholders.
5. Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
6. Proficiency in construction management software and other relevant computer applications.
7. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is preferred.
8. Certification in Construction Management or Project Management is a plus.
