Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all daily field operations to ensure proper site safety, construction, progress, quality control, and a clean site.
- Work closely with project management for budgeting, scheduling, and scoping of the projects.
- Conduct regular meetings with the project team to discuss the progress and to plan future construction.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures; oversee safety training and meetings; ensure safety violations are corrected immediately.
- Coordinate and manage the activities of multiple trades, including subcontractors and support staff.
- Review and understand contract documents. Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies.
- Participate in the project management efforts related to scheduling, value engineering, budgeting, and cost control.
- Lead the project team in quality control efforts, ensuring the customer’s expectations are met or exceeded.
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients, design teams, vendors, subcontractors, and other industry contacts in the market.
- Minimum of 2 years of construction experience in a supervisory role, with a strong background in a variety of project types.
- Proficiency in budgeting, scheduling, value engineering, quality control, safety management, cost control, team leadership, and blueprint reading.
- A solid understanding of construction methods, health and safety regulations, and building codes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of project success.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency with construction management software, MS Office, and other relevant software.
- Current OSHA certification and first aid/CPR training are preferred.
