Job Details
We are a leading renovation firm in the construction industry, renowned for our exceptional projects in hotels, resorts, and the hospitality sector. We are currently seeking a Permanent Superintendent with a proven track record of excellence and a passion for construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and dedicated team, working on some of the most exciting renovation projects in the industry.
Responsibilities:
** Must be willing to travel 80% of the time **
1. Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
2. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
3. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, and clients.
4. Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
5. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
6. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
7. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
8. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
9. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
10. Review the work progress on a daily basis.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, specifically in hotel, resort, and/or hospitality construction and renovation projects.
Proven working experience in construction management, specifically as a Superintendent or a Senior Superintendent.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
Familiarity with construction management software packages.
Ability to plan and see the “big picture”.
Competent in conflict and crisis management, excellent time and project management skills.
Excellent communication and leadership skills and proven ability to solve problems creatively.
Strong familiarity with project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Excellent analytical skills, strong interpersonal skills and extremely resourceful.
Proven ability to complete projects according to outlined scope, budget, and timeline.
BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field is preferred.
