Job Details
We are seeking a Substation Project Manager to lead electrical substation construction projects from award through closeout. This is a hands-on role focused on execution, field coordination, and delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Manage substation construction projects from kickoff through completion
Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and execution plans
Coordinate procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors
Lead project meetings including kickoff, progress updates, and closeout
Ensure alignment with contract documents, drawings, and specifications
Partner closely with superintendents, foremen, and field crews
Support and guide project engineers and coordinators
Resolve field challenges, constructability issues, and schedule conflicts
Maintain clear communication between field teams, clients, and internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
3 years of experience in substation, utility, or heavy electrical construction project management
Strong understanding of substation construction practices and sequencing
Proven ability to manage schedules, budgets, and field operations
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites
