Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, with a minimum of 3 years of experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector. This position will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and contributing to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our accounting operations. Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for our organization, including ledgers, journals, and financial statements.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis and prepare detailed reports on findings.
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings and reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.
- Prepare and submit sales tax returns and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline and improve financial processes and systems.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
- Assist with audits and tax preparation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Communicate financial information to non-financial managers and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in the Manufacturing industry.
- Proficient in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Exceptional skills in reconciliation of financial data.
- Proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred but not required.
