Job Details
The SOX Compliance Senior will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of effective SOX compliance programs across the organization. The position will report to the Director of SOX Compliance and work closely with business and functional leaders to identify and mitigate SOX risks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain SOX policies and procedures that align with the organization's risk management objectives.
- Lead the identification, assessment, and monitoring of key SOX risks and controls.
- Ensure SOX controls are designed and operating effectively through testing and continuous monitoring.
- Assist in the preparation and review of SOX documentation, including narratives, risk matrices, and control matrices.
- Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with SOX requirements.
- Provide guidance and training to business and functional areas to promote understanding of SOX requirements and expectations.
- Stay up-to-date on regulatory and industry trends related to SOX compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in SOX compliance, internal audit, or public accounting.
- Knowledge of SOX compliance requirements, including Section 404 and 302.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with business and functional areas.
- Professional certification, such as CPA or CIA, is preferred.
