We are a small business that started in 1998. Since that time, we currently have over 30 employees and operate from a 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Dayton, OH. We are a automation systems integrator who specializes in robotic automation including material handling, die cast/foundery systems, vision solutions, dispensing, and assembly test and other applications.

This position will require an individual to be able to design the robotic controls of a machine from the inception and follow the system until it is installed at a customer’s facility. Upon design completion, the engineer will need to assist the technician’s who assemble the system and answer any technical questions. Once a system is built, the engineer will then program all facets of a system and be involved in the installation.

Upon design completion, the engineer will need to assist the technician’s who assemble the system and answer any technical questions. Once a system is built, the engineer will then program all facets of a system and be involved in the installation.
Duties
- Develop programs for industrial robots. Experience with FANUC Robotics is required
- Perform clean sheet programming and prepare offline programs before commissioning
- Debugging and completion of programs
- Ability to I/O test robotic work cells. I/O test to include power circuits, I/O circuits, and safety circuits
- Experience troubleshooting network I/O
- Troubleshooting experience involving hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
- Complete bill of materials and support purchasing activities
- Startup robotic systems at a customer’s site
- Write equipment operations manuals
- Conduct and document risk assessment of equipment
- 5 years of experience in related field
- Minimum of an Associate’s degree
- Valid driver’s license
- AutoCad design (or similar 2D)
- Robotic Programming (FANUC, Motoman, and or ABB)
- Ability to travel throughout the US of up to 25% of the time
- Understanding of industry safety requirements and design practices
- PLC and HMI (AB, Mitsubishi, Omron, or Siemens) experience preferred but not required.
- Experience with Cognex or Fanuc iRVision Systems
- Experience in project management
