Job Description: Personal Lines Account Manager with UHNW Experience
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Personal Lines Account Manager with expertise in handling high-net-worth individuals (UHNW) and their insurance needs. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our UHNW clients, managing their personal insurance portfolios, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and carriers. You will collaborate closely with our team of insurance professionals to deliver tailored insurance solutions that meet the unique requirements of our esteemed UHNW clientele.
Responsibilities:
Client Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for UHNW clients, understanding their insurance needs, and building lasting relationships based on trust and professionalism.
Conduct comprehensive insurance reviews to identify coverage gaps, provide recommendations, and offer personalized risk management solutions.
Collaborate with clients and carriers to design and implement customized insurance programs that align with clients' unique requirements.
Assist clients in policy renewals, endorsements, claims processes, and any other service-related inquiries, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
Provide ongoing proactive support to address any emerging insurance needs or changes in clients' circumstances.
Insurance Portfolio Management:
Manage a portfolio of UHNW personal lines insurance policies, including but not limited to high-value homeowners, luxury automobiles, private collections, watercraft, and excess liability coverage.
Conduct regular policy reviews to assess coverage adequacy, identify potential risks, and recommend necessary adjustments to meet clients' evolving needs.
Stay up to date with insurance market trends, products, and carrier offerings relevant to UHNW clients.
Analyze insurance proposals from carriers and negotiate terms and conditions to ensure competitive pricing and comprehensive coverage for clients.
Monitor policy documentation, endorsements, and other related paperwork to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Relationship Development:
Cultivate strong relationships with UHNW clients, insurance carriers, underwriters, and other relevant stakeholders to foster collaboration and maintain a high level of service.
Collaborate with producers and other team members to develop new business opportunities within existing UHNW client relationships.
Actively participate in networking events, industry conferences, and other relevant forums to enhance professional knowledge, build industry connections, and promote the organization's brand.
Compliance and Risk Management:
Adhere to regulatory requirements and internal compliance procedures while handling client accounts and maintaining sensitive client information.
Stay informed about changes in insurance regulations and industry best practices, ensuring compliance within all aspects of the role.
Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities in clients' insurance portfolios and provide guidance on risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as business, finance, or risk management) is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in personal lines insurance account management, with a focus on UHNW clients.
Strong knowledge of personal lines insurance products, carriers, and underwriting guidelines.
Proven track record in providing exceptional client service, particularly within the UHNW segment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and industry professionals.
Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in insurance agency management systems and MS Office Suite.
Relevant insurance designations or certifications (e.g., CIC, CPCU) are desirable.
