Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full-time position (M-F, 5x8s)
- No weekends
- No on-call rotation
- Collaborative, professional ambulatory surgery environment
- The Pre-Op/PACU Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care to patients throughout the pre-operative and post-anesthesia recovery phases of their surgical experience. This role will also rotate into the procedure room to support pain management cases.
- The ideal candidate is knowledgeable in perioperative nursing, post-anesthesia recovery, pain management, and patient education, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced ambulatory surgical setting.
- Current, unrestricted Connecticut RN license
- PACU or critical care nursing experience required
- Ambulatory surgery center experience is a plus
- Strong clinical knowledge and skills relevant to pre-op and PACU nursing
- Willingness and ability to learn procedure-room RN responsibilities
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications
- ASPAN/CAPA certification preferred
- Knowledge of aseptic technique, anesthetic agents, potential complications, and emergency response
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
