As a Consulting Network Engineer, you will be joining a dynamic, high-energy tech services team where your expertise in network engineering will be put to the test. This role is not for the faint-hearted; it requires a dedicated, innovative professional who is ready to take on the challenge of maintaining and improving complex network infrastructures. You will be working with a team of seasoned professionals and will be expected to provide top-tier solutions to any network-related issues that may arise. You will need to be adept at troubleshooting, have a keen eye for detail, and be able to work under pressure. In this role, you will be expected to provide consulting services to our clients and help them optimize their network performance using your knowledge of Cisco, Juniper Switches, and SolarWinds.
Responsibilities:
1. Design, implement, and support complex networking solutions to meet the business needs of our clients.
2. Troubleshoot network issues and provide timely and effective solutions.
3. Monitor network performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
4. Provide technical consultation to our clients on network design and architecture.
5. Work closely with other team members to develop and implement strategic plans for network development and expansion.
6. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new technologies and tools in the networking field and provide recommendations for their implementation.
7. Conduct regular network audits and prepare detailed reports on network status and performance.
Qualifications:
1. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of experience in network engineering, preferably in a consulting role.
3. Extensive experience with Cisco, Juniper Switches, and SolarWinds.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues.
5. Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
6. Proven experience in designing and implementing complex networking solutions.
7. Up-to-date knowledge of the latest networking technologies and tools.
8. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
9. Knowledge of network security best practices and protocols will be an added advantage.
10. Certifications like CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, or JNCIS will be considered a plus.
