We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As an MRI Technologist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure patient safety and conduct high-quality MR studies, both on-site and potentially in remote settings. You will play a vital role in producing accurate diagnostic images while maintaining effective communication with radiologists, team members, patients, and customers, particularly in the mobile environment. Additionally, you may be involved in training and guiding new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants as needed.
Responsibilities:
Patient Safety: You will be responsible for pre-screening patients for contra-indications and employing aseptic injection techniques. Some cases may require oversight of remote MR Technologist Assistants.
Diagnostic Imaging: You will operate multiple MR systems to produce high-quality diagnostic images that aid in accurate diagnoses.
Communication: Demonstrating excellent communication skills, you will address concerns, resolve problems, and manage conflicts through all channels of communication.
Customer Interaction: Maintaining effective communication with customers and radiologists, you will ensure a seamless workflow and address any queries or feedback.
Training and Orientation: As required, you will contribute to the training and orientation of new technologists, patient coordinators, and MR Technologist Assistants, whether on-site or in remote settings.
Other Duties: You will undertake any additional responsibilities as assigned by the organization.
Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
Registered Technologist by the ARRT, NMTCB, or ARMDS.
MR Technologists with assistant oversight must be MR registered. ARMRIT certification may be accepted, subject to customer contract. For Medicare billing, registry in Magnetic Resonance is required.
MR registered technologist R.T. (MR) ARRT or ARMRIT.
Technologist registered in other modalities.
At least 3 months of supervised MRI clinical scanning experience OR currently enrolled for more than 6 months in an accredited MRI training program.
State license (applicable to specific states).
Licensed Radiologic Technologist or Magnetic Resonance Technologist, if applicable.
CPR Certification.
BLS upon hire, ACLS within 90 days of employment, if applicable.
Technologists performing mid-day moves must have an active State Driver's License.
Compliance with potential COVID-19 vaccination requirements as a condition of employment.
Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screen.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or equivalent experience.
1 year of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Experience.
Registry in Magnetic Resonance by the ARRT.
Note: All required certificates, licenses, and registrations will be verified at the time of hire for all roles. Ongoing primary source verification is completed for Patient Facing roles only, in compliance with accrediting body requirements.
