Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Supervise hourly maintenance staff, including scheduling, prioritization, and delegation
- Drive safe work practices and champion personal and food safety across the plant
- Manage installation, repair, and maintenance of machinery, conveyors, and building systems
- Track equipment failures, downtime, and coordinate solutions with production leadership
- Develop, implement, and sustain preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Lead loss prevention, risk management, and USDA compliance initiatives
- Coordinate with People Operations on hiring, training, engagement, and retention
- Manage maintenance budgets, capital planning, tools, and spare parts inventory
- Supervise contractors and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Education Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Experience Minimum 3–5 years of plant maintenance leadership experience
- Industry Background Strong preference for food manufacturing environments
- Proven experience with PM programs, equipment reliability, and downtime reduction
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems
- Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics
- Experience with conveyors, power equipment, and facility maintenance
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Proficient with PC systems and maintenance-related software
