Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on food processing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair seamers (Angelus preferred) and filling equipment
- Conduct seam teardowns, inspections, and adjustments across various can sizes
- Execute mechanical repairs and diagnose equipment failures
- Perform welding, torch cutting, and fabrication work as needed
- Troubleshoot basic electrical systems and components
- Read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics
- Maintain lubrication schedules and perform routine inspections
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and plant safety standards
- Complete maintenance documentation and required paperwork
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Support additional maintenance tasks as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or food processing
- Strong experience with seamers and filling equipment
- Background in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting
- Welding experience (required – torch and plasma cutting preferred)
- Experience with power tools and pipefitting
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
- Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics
- Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred
- Proven ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment
