We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing team. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and equipment. Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
- Perform troubleshooting and repair tasks on various machines, including glass cutting, shaping, and processing equipment.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and breakdowns, ensuring quick resolution to minimize production delays.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Assist in the installation, modification, and relocation of machinery and equipment as required.
- Collaborate with production teams to identify areas for improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in maintenance techniques to continuously improve your skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the glass industry.
- Strong knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing glass processing equipment, such as cutting, shaping, and tempering machines.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically under pressure.
- Solid understanding of preventive maintenance procedures and the ability to develop and implement maintenance schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with precision.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide clear instructions.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency maintenance requests outside regular working hours.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
