Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients involved in complex civil litigation matters, with a primary focus on construction litigation.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and legal proceedings.
- Prepare and draft various legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, contracts, and other necessary legal documents.
- Represent clients in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitration hearings.
- Develop and implement effective litigation strategies to achieve desired outcomes for clients.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Massachusetts laws, court decisions, and other developments in the legal field.
- Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to ensure the efficient and effective handling of cases.
- Participate in business development activities to attract new clients and maintain relationships with existing clients.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a civil litigator, with a focus on construction litigation.
- Proven track record of managing a large caseload and meeting deadlines.
- Exceptional legal research and writing skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to provide sound legal advice and representation in complex litigation matters.
- Proficient in using legal research software and other relevant computer applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
