Manage a diverse New York docket of insurance defense and general civil litigation matters, including personal injury, premises liability, auto liability, construction claims, and NY Labor Law, with ownership from early case assessment through trial.
- Evaluate cases and build defense strategy from inception
- Draft pleadings, written discovery, and dispositive motions
- Independently take and defend depositions and handle court appearances
- Lead negotiations and mediations
- Prepare cases for trial and try cases
- New York Bar admission in good standing
- Recent civil litigation experience with insurance defense focus
- Associate through senior associate
- Working knowledge of New York civil practice and New York Labor Law
- New York Labor Law (Sections 200, 240, 241)
- Personal injury defense
- General liability, Premises liability
- Automobile liability
- Construction-related claims
