Responsibilities
As the Permanent Lead Technical Revenue Accountant, you will
- Lead the revenue recognition process and manage all related activities.
- Develop and implement revenue recognition policies and procedures in accordance with GAAP.
- Review and analyze multi-currency transactions, contracts, and agreements to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Oversee the reconciliation of revenue accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Collaborate with other teams to streamline processes, improve financial systems, and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, standards, and laws.
- Manage the accounting for crowdfunding campaigns and other fundraising activities.
- Provide technical accounting guidance and support to other team members.
- Participate in the development of the company's financial strategy and contribute to decision-making processes.
To be successful in this role, you will need
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in revenue accounting, preferably in a tech services or startup environment.
- A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and revenue recognition principles.
- Proficiency in multi-currency transactions and international financial operations.
- Advanced skills in Excel and other financial software.
- Experience with crowdfunding and other fundraising methods.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive and results-driven approach, with the ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. A master’s degree or additional certifications would be a plus.
