We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Land Acquisition Manager to join our dynamic team. This role is integral to the growth and success of our construction company and will be responsible for identifying, negotiating, and purchasing land for development. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the real estate market, excellent negotiation skills, and a background in land acquisition and development. This is a full-time, permanent position with opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
1. Identify potential land for acquisition through a variety of methods including networking, research, and analysis of market trends.
2. Negotiate and close deals on land purchases, ensuring the best possible terms for the company.
3. Coordinate with legal counsel to facilitate the completion of purchase agreements, contracts, and other necessary documentation.
4. Work closely with the development team to assess the viability of potential sites for construction projects.
5. Maintain detailed records of potential and completed acquisitions, including financial details and legal documentation.
6. Develop and maintain strong relationships with landowners, brokers, and other industry professionals.
7. Conduct thorough due diligence on all potential acquisitions, including environmental assessments, zoning regulations, and potential development restrictions.
8. Collaborate with the finance team to secure funding for land acquisitions.
9. Stay up-to-date on current market trends and changes in regulations that may impact land acquisitions.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in land acquisition or land development.
3. Strong understanding of the real estate market, with a focus on land acquisition and development.
4. Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close deals effectively.
5. Ability to conduct thorough due diligence on potential acquisitions.
6. Strong networking skills and the ability to develop and maintain relationships with industry professionals.
7. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
9. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Willingness to travel as needed for site visits and negotiations.
