Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Paralegal to join our Personal Injury Insurance Defense team. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who thrives in a vibrant, fast-paced environment, and who is committed to providing exceptional support to our attorneys in defending our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury insurance defense, with a particular emphasis on products liability and professional liability. This role requires a deep understanding of civil litigation, legal research, and mediation, with a proven track record in litigation defense.

Our prestigious law firm is seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Paralegal to join our Personal Injury Insurance Defense team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in personal injury insurance defense, with a particular emphasis on products liability and professional liability. This role requires a deep understanding of civil litigation, legal research, and mediation, with a proven track record in litigation defense.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all aspects of personal injury insurance defense litigation from inception through trial.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and fact-checking to support case preparation and strategy development.
- Manage products liability and professional liability cases, including drafting pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and other legal documents.
- Coordinate and manage the document review and production process, ensuring all relevant documents are organized, reviewed, and produced in a timely manner.
- Organize and maintain case files, ensuring they are updated and readily accessible for attorneys.
- Participate in mediation sessions, providing insightful input and assisting in negotiation strategies.
- Collaborate with attorneys to prepare for depositions, hearings, trials, and client meetings.
- Monitor case deadlines and ensure all court and filing deadlines are met.
- A minimum of 5 years of paralegal experience in personal injury insurance defense, with a strong emphasis on products liability and professional liability.
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved institution, or equivalent.
- Proficient in civil litigation, legal research, and mediation.
- Demonstrated experience in litigation defense.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
- Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of a dynamic, collaborative team.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges and achieving resolution.
- High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
