We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position, working on the 2nd shift or weekends, offering a unique opportunity to work within a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing environment. This role will be instrumental in ensuring seamless operations by performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, with a keen eye for problem-solving and an unwavering commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Technician, your responsibilities will include:
1. Performing routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of the building does not deteriorate.
2. Inspecting drives, motors, and belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or performing other maintenance actions, following checklists.
3. Using tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
4. Assembling, installing, or repairing wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
5. Diagnosing mechanical problems and determining how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
6. Inspecting, operating, or testing machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
7. Repairing or replacing defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
8. Maintaining and repairing specialized equipment and machinery found in cafeterias, laundries, hospitals, stores, offices, or factories.
9. Adhering to all safety protocols and procedures, including lockout/tagout procedures.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
2. Proven experience in equipment maintenance, with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
3. Proficiency in troubleshooting and repair, with the ability to read and understand blueprints.
4. Experience with welding, plumbing, and the use of hand and power tools.
5. Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
6. Knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures and safety protocols.
7. Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
8. Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
9. A commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment.
