Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of the sheet metal team.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout requirements.
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification.
- Ensure adherence to all safety rules and regulations.
- Train and mentor junior staff members and apprentices.
- Install HVAC sheet metal including ductwork, VAV boxes, fire/smoke dampers, and other related components.
- Oversee the fabrication of sheet metal parts using a variety of tools and machines.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other construction professionals.
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC sheet metal fabrication and installation.
- Proven experience as a foreman, lead person, or similar leadership role.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
