Job Details
Responsibilities:
As a Flooring Estimator, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
1. Conducting comprehensive measurements and take-offs for flooring projects, ensuring all aspects of the job are accounted for.
2. Reviewing and interpreting blueprints, plans, and other project documents to create accurate and competitive bids.
3. Collaborating with project managers and other team members to develop project plans and timelines.
4. Monitoring project progression, ensuring that materials and labor costs align with the original estimate.
5. Communicating effectively with clients, suppliers, and team members to ensure all parties are informed of project details and changes.
6. Keeping up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in flooring materials and installation techniques.
7. Assisting in the selection and procurement of materials, ensuring quality and cost-effectiveness.
8. Providing excellent customer service, answering client queries and providing detailed explanations of project plans and estimates.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Proven experience with floor covering, tile, hardwood, carpet, reading blueprints, bid, and take off.
3. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in estimates and project planning.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with clients, suppliers, and team members.
5. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
6. Proficiency in using estimation software and other relevant computer applications.
7. A strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
