Qualifications – Needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- Degree in Electronics or minimum 1–3 years of related fire alarm or low voltage experience
- Must meet proficiencies of NICET Level II Technician and obtain NICET II Certification within 2 years
- Experience servicing Notifier, Simplex, EST or similar commercial fire alarm systems
- Experience with CCTV, Access Control, and Nurse Call Systems
- Valid driver’s license and ability to pass background check
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and diagnose low voltage electrical systems
- Ability to obtain required state licensing for security industry work
- Install, service, and maintain commercial fire alarm and life safety systems
- Troubleshoot and repair alarm panels, sirens, strobes, horns, and peripheral devices
- Test and verify system functionality according to manufacturer specifications
- Program and reprogram fire alarm systems using approved software and tools
- Perform voltage, resistance, and circuit analysis using a multimeter
- Ensure compliance with company and state regulations
- Complete daily service documentation and reports accurately
- Maintain assigned company vehicle in clean and operational condition
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
- Oversee or assist junior technicians when assigned
