Job Details

Our client, a well-regarded mid-sized law firm, is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Financial Services and Creditors’ Rights practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters involving creditor representation, financial institutions, and commercial recovery strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

Represent creditors, lenders, and financial institutions in state and federal proceedings, including matters involving foreclosure, collections, and bankruptcy
Advise clients on loan restructuring, workouts, and recovery strategies
Draft pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda related to debt enforcement and financial disputes
Negotiate and prepare settlement agreements, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, and related transactional documents
Conduct legal research and analysis on complex commercial and financial issues
Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop case strategies and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations

Qualifications:

Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
Admission to at least one U.S. state bar (additional admissions a plus)
2–5 years of experience in creditors’ rights, bankruptcy, or financial services litigation
Strong litigation, drafting, and negotiation skills
Excellent research, writing, and communication abilities
Ability to manage multiple matters and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
