We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Permanent Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in Commercial HVAC, CAD Technician, Director of Facilities, and Facilities Maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical acumen, a passion for problem-solving, and a commitment to maintaining our facilities to the highest standards. This is a full-time, permanent position that offers a competitive salary and benefits package, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Facilities Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining and repairing all mechanical systems and equipment within the facility, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and safety systems.
2. Utilizing CAD software to design and implement facility modifications and improvements.
3. Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as changing filters, lubricating machinery, and replacing worn parts.
4. Inspecting the facility on a regular basis to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
5. Coordinating with vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance or repair work.
6. Assisting in the development and implementation of facility management plans and budgets.
7. Providing input and recommendations to the Director of Facilities on matters related to facility maintenance and improvements.
8. Responding promptly and effectively to emergency situations, and implementing corrective measures to prevent future occurrences.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Facilities Maintenance Technician position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with specific experience in Commercial HVAC, CAD Technician, Director of Facilities, and Facilities Maintenance.
2. Proficiency in using CAD software for designing and planning facility modifications.
3. Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.
5. A strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to facility maintenance.
6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to effectively coordinate with vendors, contractors, and team members.
7. A proactive approach to facility maintenance, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and implement preventive measures.
8. The ability to respond effectively to emergency situations and implement corrective measures.
9. Certification or licensing in HVAC, electrical, or other relevant fields would be a strong asset.
