Responsibilities -
- Review drawings, specifications, and RFPs to determine project scope
- Develop detailed cost estimates and create estimate summaries
- Monitor bid calendars and complete proposals on schedule
- Perform and review material takeoffs for accuracy and completeness
- Obtain pricing from vendors and subcontractors
- conduct scope reviews
- Prepare proposals, bid forms, and cost breakdowns
- Support development of conceptual budgets from preliminary designs
- Collaborate with sales teams on procurement strategies
- Participate in client and engineer project scope review meetings
- Transition awarded projects by handing off estimates to project management teams
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
- or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- experience with estimating software (Quickpen or similar) preferred
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with solid understanding of engineering and construction principles
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
