Are you passionate about construction and have a proven track record in estimating? We are seeking a highly talented and experienced Permanent Estimator for our Commercial Construction division. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic, innovative, and growth-oriented company. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in the commercial construction industry, with a strong emphasis on estimating. This role is critical to our business as it involves preparing accurate and competitive bids to win projects that drive our company's success.

This role is critical to our business as it involves preparing accurate and competitive bids to win projects that drive our company's success.
Responsibilities
- Preparing detailed and accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects from conceptual design through to final construction documents.
- Analyzing project plans and specifications to determine the overall estimated cost of a project.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and architects during the bid process.
- Utilizing hard bid and soft bid techniques to provide competitive and accurate estimates.
- Conducting risk assessments to identify potential cost overruns and provide appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Maintaining a current database of vendor pricing, labor costs, and construction materials.
- Participating in the negotiation and award processes for contractors and suppliers.
- Providing detailed handoff packages to the project management team upon award of a project.
- Continually improving and updating estimating processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
- Demonstrated experience with hard bid or soft bid estimating techniques.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
- Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using estimating software and technologies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong negotiation skills with a focus on achieving cost-effective results.
