We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Nursing Program Development to join our team. This exceptional individual will be responsible for the strategic planning, development, and implementation of our nursing programs. The Director will work closely with various departments, including education, clinical operations, and administration, to ensure the highest quality of nursing education and training. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned nursing leader to make a significant impact on our organization and the future of healthcare.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement a strategic plan for the nursing program that aligns with the organization's mission and goals.
2. Collaborate with the education department to design, implement, and evaluate nursing curriculum.
3. Lead the development and implementation of innovative nursing programs to meet the needs of the healthcare industry.
4. Collaborate with clinical operations to ensure the integration of clinical practice and education.
5. Work with the administration to ensure the nursing program is adequately resourced and supported.
6. Establish and maintain relationships with academic and healthcare institutions to promote the nursing program.
7. Develop and monitor key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of the nursing program.
8. Stay current with trends and developments in nursing education and incorporate this knowledge into program development.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required; Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or related field preferred.
2. Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role such as Director of Nursing, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Administrative Officer, Nursing Director, Educational Director, or Nurse Executive.
3. Current registered nurse license in good standing.
4. Proven experience in nursing program development and management.
5. Strong knowledge of nursing education principles, curriculum development, and program evaluation.
6. Excellent leadership and team building skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to work effectively with a diverse group of professionals and stakeholders.
9. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and implement strategy.
10. Proficient in using technology as a management reporting tool and experience working with information technology staff to develop and implement program evaluation systems.
11. Experience in budget development and management.
12. Must have a commitment to diversity and inclusivity.
