Job Details
We are seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to oversee the financial operations of one of our lines of business. The successful candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, managing internal controls, preparing financial statements, and overseeing the month-end and year-end close process. This role will play a pivotal part in maintaining the financial health and success of our organization.
Responsibilities
- Overseeing the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Implementing and maintaining effective internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Managing the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
- Coordinating with external auditors for annual audits and providing necessary financial information and support.
- Implementing and monitoring accounting policies and procedures to maintain the company's financial health.
- Coordinating with other departments to gather information for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Providing leadership and direction to the accounting team to ensure efficient financial operations and continuous improvement.
- Staying up-to-date with industry trends and current accounting standards to ensure the company's compliance.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
