Job Duties:
- Conduct legal research and prepare case summaries.
- Draft disclosures, written discovery, pleadings, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Assist attorneys with trial preparation, hearings, depositions, and other litigation matters.
- Review and organize case evidence, including sensitive photographs, records, and other materials related to complex incidents.
- Manage case files, legal documents, deadlines, and case-related information.
- Prepare and file court documents in compliance with applicable court rules and deadlines.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties as directed by attorneys.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with professional and ethical standards.
- Monitor developments in applicable laws, regulations, and legal procedures.
- Accurately and efficiently record billable and approved non-billable time, maintaining a minimum productive target of approximately six hours per day.
- Follow established procedures for timekeeping, payroll, time-off requests, and other administrative requirements.
- 3-5 years of defense litigation experience
- ABA-approved paralegal certificate preferred
