Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
- Allocate resources for assigned projects.
- Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
- Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
- Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
- Prepare and submit project reports, and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
- Develop and manage project schedules and milestones, using appropriate tools to monitor progress.
- Manage and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are met.
- Implement and enforce OSHA safety standards across all project sites.
- Handle RFI submittals and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve any issues.
- Manage civil sitework, ensuring all aspects of construction are carried out correctly and efficiently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role or similar.
- Proven experience in managing subcontractors, developing and managing schedules, RFI submittals, and adherence to project specifications.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to implement them on-site.
- Proficiency in PROCORE and viewpoint software.
- Experience in projects and renovations involving hospitals, churches, retail, and education sectors.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with construction estimating and scheduling.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
