A bit about us:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Permanent Construction Superintendent to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for overseeing all stages of project life cycle, from planning and design to construction and handover. This role is ideal for a construction professional who is experienced in managing subcontractors, developing and managing schedules, RFI submittals, OSHA safety standards, adherence to project specifications, and managing civil sitework. Proficiency in using PROCORE, viewpoint software, and experience in projects and renovations in hospitals, churches, retail, and education is highly desirable.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation.
• Allocate resources for assigned projects.
• Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
• Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
• Prepare and submit project reports, and ensure all project documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Develop and manage project schedules and milestones, using appropriate tools to monitor progress.
• Manage and supervise the work of subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Implement and enforce OSHA safety standards across all project sites.
• Handle RFI submittals and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve any issues.
• Manage civil sitework, ensuring all aspects of construction are carried out correctly and efficiently.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a construction superintendent role or similar.
• Proven experience in managing subcontractors, developing and managing schedules, RFI submittals, and adherence to project specifications.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA safety standards and ability to implement them on-site.
• Proficiency in PROCORE and viewpoint software.
• Experience in projects and renovations involving hospitals, churches, retail, and education sectors.
• Strong leadership skills and ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and experience with construction estimating and scheduling.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Current driver’s license and reliable transportation.
