Job Details
Based in Homestead, FL - we're seeking SSHO (Site Safety and Health Officer) to support a long term project with the Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Prior experience working with the Army Corps or at Naval Facilities is required for consideration.
This is an exciting, direct hire opportunity with vehicle perks and relocation support available, reporting directly to the Project Executive. As our Safety Engineer or SSHO, you will be responsible for managing safety programs, conducting hazard analyses, and developing safety controls. You should have experience with safety topics such as personal protective equipment (PPE), hazard communication, excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, and safety for confined spaces.
Requirements >
BS Safety Mgmt preferred along with 5 years of relevant professional experience in Construction Safety (10 without a Bachelor's Degree)
Prior experience working with USACE/NAVFAC
OSHA 30 Construction Safety Certification
Current First Aid, CPR, AED Training
