Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial roofing projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overhead.
- Review and interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications to understand project requirements.
- Conduct site visits and investigations to gather necessary data for estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and contractors to understand project scope and requirements.
- Analyze and adjust estimates based on project changes or updates.
- Present and explain estimates to clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Monitor and track project costs to ensure estimates are accurate and budgets are maintained.
- Stay current on industry trends, materials, and pricing to ensure estimates are competitive and accurate.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings, proposal presentations, and client meetings as necessary.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimation or a related role in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, materials, and construction processes.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and tools.
- Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to interpret architectural drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of professionals.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Professional certification in cost estimation or construction is a plus.
