We are hiring a Clinical Director of Adult Medicine (MD/DO) for a leadership opportunity in Hartford, CT. This is a strong role for a physician seeking a strategic leadership position with a community-focused organization, while still maintaining a highly attractive weekday schedule with no nights, weekends, or call.
The Clinical Director will oversee the Adult Medicine team, support provider performance and clinical quality, and help drive patient care initiatives across the department. This role blends leadership, operations, and clinical oversight in a setting that values both mission and physician work-life balance.
What You'll Do
Provide leadership and oversight for the Adult Medicine department
Support and mentor physicians and advanced practice providers
Help drive quality, patient care, and departmental performance initiatives
Partner with operational and clinical leadership to improve access, workflows, and outcomes
Support provider engagement, collaboration, and accountability across the team
Contribute to strategic planning and ongoing program development
What We're Looking For
MD or DO degree with active or eligible Connecticut licensure
Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine preferred
Prior physician leadership experience strongly preferred
Strong communication, team-building, and operational leadership skills
Passion for community health and improving care access for underserved populations
Comfortable balancing clinical excellence with administrative leadership responsibilities
