This role is pivotal in managing and processing healthcare claims, ensuring that all data is accurately recorded and handled with the utmost precision. As a key player in our organization, you will be at the forefront of coordinating and streamlining our claim intake process, playing a crucial role in maintaining our reputation for excellence in the healthcare industry.
Responsibilities:
As a Consulting Claims Intake Coordinator, your primary duties will include:
1. Accurately entering and processing healthcare claims into our database, ensuring all information is up-to-date and correct.
2. Coordinating with various teams and departments to streamline the claims intake process.
3. Ensuring compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
4. Identifying and addressing any discrepancies or issues in claims data.
5. Providing high-quality customer service to clients and stakeholders, answering any questions or concerns about the claims process.
6. Continuously seeking ways to improve efficiency and accuracy in the claims intake process.
7. Maintaining confidentiality and integrity of all patient and client data.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the healthcare industry.
2. At least 1 year of data entry experience is required, with the ability to key between 6,000 and 8,000 keystrokes or type 40 – 50 WPM with high accuracy for alpha and numeric data inputting.
3. Experience working in a medical billing office or health plan is highly preferred.
4. Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. A strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards.
7. Proficiency in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Office Suite and database management systems.
8. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
9. The ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.
