Job Details
We are looking for a dynamic, innovative, and experienced BIM Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating BIM standards development, implementation, and enforcement on all related BIM projects, files, and models. The BIM Engineer will play a key role in project planning and development, ensuring the integration of BIM technology with other functions of the construction process. Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement project-specific BIM workflows and processes.
2. Conduct constructability reviews and 3D coordination using BIM software.
3. Generate virtual design and construction (VDC) models using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other relevant software.
4. Create, manage, and update 3D models for construction management.
5. Collaborate with project teams to ensure architectural design integrity and quality.
6. Understand and apply building construction sequencing and scheduling.
7. Coordinate and integrate work with architects, structural, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing (MEP) engineers.
8. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of local building codes and regulations.
9. Utilize laser scanning technology to generate point files and convert 2D drawings to 3D models.
10. Deliver BIM as-built models at the completion of the project.
11. Train and mentor team members in the use of BIM technology and software.
12. Stay updated with the latest advancements in BIM technology and industry standards.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction industry with a focus on BIM technology.
3. Proficiency in BIM software including AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and other 3D modeling tools.
4. Strong understanding of building construction, sequencing, and architectural design.
5. Basic knowledge of structural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and architectural systems.
6. Familiarity with local building codes and regulations.
7. Experience with laser scanning, generation of point files, conversion of 2D drawings to 3D models, and delivery of BIM as-builts.
8. Exceptional communication and team collaboration skills.
9. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
11. Willingness to stay updated with the latest BIM technologies and industry trends.
