Job Details:
We are seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and bilingual EHS Specialist to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This full-time, permanent position offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in maintaining and improving the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards of our organization. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of EHS regulations, be proficient in both English and another language, and possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and monitor company EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
3. Coordinate and deliver EHS training programs for employees to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
4. Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, including SOPs, incident reports, and safety meeting minutes.
5. Collaborate with management and staff to foster an environment of continuous EHS improvement.
6. Respond to and investigate EHS incidents, determining root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
7. Stay up-to-date with the latest EHS trends and regulations, advising management on necessary changes and adaptations.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles within the Manufacturing industry.
3. Required: Fluency in English and Spanish
4. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
5. Proficient in developing and implementing EHS training programs.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with all levels of the organization.
7. Proven ability to manage and maintain SOPs and other safety documentation.
8. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) credentials are preferred.
9. Must be able to demonstrate problem-solving skills, with a focus on proactive prevention and improvement.
10. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and EHS management systems.
