Are you a dynamic, analytical, and highly organized individual with a knack for procurement and supply chain management? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. We are a leading firm in the scientific industry, seeking an experienced and dedicated Permanent Assistant Procurement Manager. This role will involve working closely with our procurement team to manage supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure the cost-effective acquisition of raw materials. Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Procurement Manager, your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
1. Assisting the Procurement Manager in developing and implementing procurement strategies that align with company goals.
2. Negotiating contracts with suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery times.
3. Evaluating and managing relationships with suppliers, ensuring they meet our standards for quality and delivery time.
4. Conducting market research to identify new potential suppliers and stay updated on market trends.
5. Utilizing Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) tools to forecast demand, plan for raw material acquisition, and manage inventory.
6. Implementing cost reduction strategies to optimize spending without compromising quality.
7. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth flow of raw materials for production.
8. Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies in all procurement activities.
9. Continually assessing risks and implementing mitigation strategies in the procurement process.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably within the scientific industry.
3. Proven experience in negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
4. Strong knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and legal terms.
5. Proficiency in using MRP systems and other procurement tools.
6. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze supplier pricing and make cost-effective decisions.
7. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
8. Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. A results-driven approach, with a proven track record of achieving cost reductions and improving efficiency.
10. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
11. A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
