We are currently seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and experienced Assistant Controller to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to an innovative, fast-paced, and forward-thinking organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Controller in managing all accounting and finance operations, including month-end close, audit, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and forecasting. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience and a proven track record of success in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, ensuring they are accurate, timely, and in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, and more.
• Support the Controller in coordinating and directing the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, reporting any variances once implemented.
• Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting by implementing and maintaining internal controls.
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve financial procedures, develop and implement strategies for financial planning and profitable growth.
• Assist in the development of financial and tax strategies, manage capital request and budgeting processes.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a senior role.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including month-end close, audit, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with creating financial statements and general ledger functions.
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present financial data to senior management effectively.
