Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our dynamic finance team as a Accounts Receivable Specialist. This role will play a critical part in the company's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. The ideal candidate will have a knack for numbers, a keen eye for detail, and a deep understanding of the accounts receivable process.
Responsibilities:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Managing and overseeing the daily operations of accounts receivable, including invoicing, cash posting, credit and debit memos, and account aging.
2. Processing ACH payments and transactions and managing TT processes.
3. Analyzing A/R reports and providing actionable insights.
4. Performing customer service related to collections and dispute resolution.
5. Ensuring timely collection of payments.
6. Investigating and resolving any irregularities or inquiries.
7. Assisting in the implementation of policies and procedures.
8. Performing month-end closing processes and reconciliation of ledgers.
9. Assisting with audits and resolving audit findings.
10. Providing support and guidance to junior staff.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, collections, and customer service.
2. Proficiency in NetSuite or similar accounting software.
3. Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, fair credit practices, and collection regulations.
4. Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
5. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
7. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel.
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Ability to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
11. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration is preferred.
